Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how Heftii, Inc. ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and handles your information across our websites, applications, and store. It sets out the principles that apply to all of our products. Individual products may have their own, more specific privacy policy — see Product-Specific Privacy Policies below.
1. Product-Specific Privacy Policies
Some of our applications have their own detailed privacy policy that describes how that specific product handles your data — including any integrations, storage model, and permissions unique to it. Where a product has its own policy, that policy governs your use of that product and takes precedence over this general policy to the extent of any conflict.
- The Cut — see the The Cut Privacy Policy, which covers its privacy-first design, on-device and personal iCloud storage, and scoped email integrations.
All other products are covered by this general policy unless we publish a product-specific policy for them.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only the information that is necessary to provide and operate our services.
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect information such as your name and email address. This information is used solely to identify your account and enable you to use the application.
Purchase Information
When you buy a product from our store, we collect the email address you provide and the details needed to fulfil and support your order (such as which product you purchased and when). Payment card details are handled entirely by our payment processor — see Third-Party Services — and are never stored on our servers.
Usage Data
We may collect anonymised data about how you interact with our applications and website — such as features used, pages visited, and session duration — to understand how the service is being used and to improve it. This data is not linked to your identity.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain our services
- Process purchases and deliver the products you buy, including issuing download links
- Improve user experience based on aggregate usage patterns
- Communicate with you about your account, orders, or support requests
4. Your Content and How It Is Stored
Wherever a product allows it, we design for privacy by keeping your content on your own devices and, where applicable, syncing it through your personal iCloud (or equivalent) account. In those cases, we operate no backend or proxy that receives your synced content, and we have no access to it. Product-specific policies describe exactly how each application stores and syncs data.
5. Third-Party Services
Our applications and store may integrate with third-party services. We do not share your personal data with these services beyond what is required for their functionality.
- Payments — purchases are processed by Stripe. When you check out, your payment details are submitted directly to Stripe, which handles them under its own privacy policy. We receive confirmation of payment and the information needed to fulfil your order, but not your full card details.
- Product integrations — individual applications may connect to services such as Apple iCloud/HealthKit, email providers, or SoundCloud. Any such integration is scoped to the minimum data required for the feature, and is described in that product's own privacy policy where one exists.
Marketing & attribution
When you arrive from one of our ads, we store a first-party cookie (__stripe_attrib) that records which ad referred you — for example the campaign identifier and Google Click ID from the link you followed. When you make a purchase, we share that information with Stripe so we can measure how our advertising performs, such as which campaigns lead to sales. We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and this data is not sold.
For visitors in the EU, EEA, and UK, we ask for your consent before storing this cookie, and you can decline without affecting your ability to browse or buy; when you make that choice we store a small separate cookie (__stripe_attrib_consent) to remember it so we don't ask again. Elsewhere the cookie is set when you arrive from an ad; you can remove it at any time by clearing cookies in your browser. The attribution cookie expires after 30 days.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy — for example, to maintain your account, to keep a record of purchases so we can provide support and re-issue download links, and to comply with legal obligations. For products that store content on your device or in your personal cloud account, that content is removed when you disconnect the relevant source or uninstall the application. You may request deletion of the account and purchase information we hold by contacting us at hello@heftii.com.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@heftii.com and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
9. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the date above.
